ISO: sweet yeast dough like Lake Forest Bakery

Did you ever find a good recipe or try the ones listed? I am having trouble finding the lake forest type recipe, not a gooey style one. Also what recipe did you use for the sweet yeast bottom layer? Much thanks! We enjoy this every year during the holidays buy now my grandparents are getting too old to drive and get them from the st. louis area. We found the closest thing to Lake forest was the McArthur bakery. Close but not the same ;)
