I remember making these cookies when I was young in the 50's, it was my favorite cookie as a child. My mother had the recipe book for years until she cleaned out her recipe books and threw it out before I had a chance to get the recipe from her. I hunted for several years looking for the right recipe, I knew it had nutmeg in it but wasn't sure of the right ingredient mix. I will be making them immediately and can't wait to eat them.
