David, I can hardly wait to make the apple muffins. They sound delicious. We have a tree loaded with Golden Delicious apples and one tree with a few Pippins. They should make good muffins. What I really like, is your story (true or not). The ladies and their African violets sure brought back memories of my great aunts and wonderful loving elderly neighbor ladies. You should be a writer (maybe you are). I will be taking the time to check out the different boards more often. Hope to see more of your recipes and stories. I hope you are keeping copies of your stories. You should put them into a book of short stories.
