SESAME PORK WITH GARLIC-CREAM SAUCE

Servings: 6
Cream cheese is the key to this quick sauce.
1 1/2 pounds pork tenderloin
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/4 cup sesame seeds
FOR THE GARLIC-CREAM SAUCE:
1 tablespoon margarine or butter
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 package (3 ounces) cream cheese, cut into cubes
1/3 cup milk
1 tablespoon chopped fresh or 1 teaspoon freeze-dried chives
Cut pork tenderloin crosswise into 12 slices. Flatten slices to 12-inch thickness.
Set oven control to broil.
Brush pork with oil. Place pork on rack in broiler pan. Sprinkle with half the sesame seeds.
Broil pork with tops 3 to 5 inches from heat 6 minutes; turn. Sprinkle with remaining sesame seeds Broil about 5 minutes or until pork is no longer pink in center.
TO PREPARE THE GARLIC-CREAM SAUCE:
Heat margarine in 10-inch skillet over medium heat. Cook garlic in margarine about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally; reduce heat.
Add cream cheese and milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until smooth and hot. Stir in chives. Serve with pork.
TO GRILL:
After brushing pork with oil, coat with sesame seeds. Cover and grill 5 to 6 inches from medium coals 12 to 15 minutes, turning once, until pork is no longer pink in center. Continue as directed.
