Thank You: Thanks for all the Tips, Claudette!
Misc.Dear Claudette,
Thanks so very much for all the tips on NC you posted, I have copied them down in my little travel notebook and I will certainly go to them. Picking our own apples sounds like the kind of fun I enjoy! We haven't been to Hendersonville yet and this is just the enticement to go...
Regarding the Farmers Market in Asheville...that's my favorite part of the trip, we always go on a Wednesday and I always bring back Amish cheese and butter. The butter is the one I use for my Thanksgiving turkey and meal preparation as well as the one I put out on the table.
One year I got the "bright" idea of bringing back bittersweet to make wreaths out of and use for decorating...needless to say, those little red berries and yellow hulls were all over the car! I;ll never do that again!
And about that Waynesville Bakery, I love it too! They have great cheese pastries and you are right about the bread, it is sooooo delicious!! I love the Waynesville downtown district too!
Yes, I pulled up the weather for the next week for Bryson City and Athens and I will be taking some warm clothes with me, thanks for the reminder.
Thanks for all the great tips, Claudette!
Gina
