Thank You: wheat germ or bran or ???

Misc.
Hi Janet,

Boy, that was a wake up call to my old brain. You could be right! I just did some reading on Wheat berries and some posts said that the berries added a gritty texture to the breads. The bread that my husband and I ate did have that gritty texture (which I loved!) and the nutty taste. BUUUT... the chef did say that the stuff came from Germany, already ground. Could that be possible? Unless he omitted the fact that he did the extra work for his breads.

I think I will try to find some berries today and see what happens when I try to grind some and throw it in my breads! Thanx. I'll let you know if my (yours) discovery was a success or not .
