Misc. Hi Carrie, You could use a jar like a 2 quart pickle jar to put your starter in with a porcelain lined zinc lid will do. Maybe you could keep the dough in a zip lock bag, but you should burp it once in a while, or just cover the jar with plastic wrap. I am glad your bread turned out well. I will use less sugar next time I make the sourdough.
