Chicken and dumplings report!

Misc.

After all your generous help and advice I gave it a whirl. Like I said before I have never seen chicken and dumplings and was having a hard time figuring out what the finiched product was supposed to look like. I couldnt believe that in all the cookbooks I have not one picture! I cooked the chicken in the crock pot and then strained the broth and put it on top of the stove, reduced, added the soup (cream of chicken) and stired in some wonder flour. I used the biscuick for the dumplings. We had corn on the cob and my favorite garlic mashed potatoe caserole. One of the few potatoe recipes I have found that can successfully be made ahead of time ( which can come in pretty handy!) Well it got rave reviews and Im sure left overs will be great! Thanks again to everyone. I cant wait to try to find chicken & dumplings in a resturaunt some time, just to see if they look the same as mine did! Well, on to the next challenge. (LOL)
