Fels Naphta Laundry Soap!

Misc.
I love this apron link. I guess that wearing aprons everyday went out with "ironing day" and the arrival of permanent press. When women had to iron every piece of cotton they wore, I guess they took extra precautions to protect themselves from stains.

When my 97 yr. old grandmother passed away several years ago, my cousins and I took a walk through her basement. There we found treasures...a Packard Dealership wall thermometer, a box of Faultless starch, the old mangle clothes press, a clothespin bag, sprinkling bottle, a bar of Fels Naptha and a folding clothes rack were there alongside her new Kenmore washer and dryer.

And time marches on.
