flavor other foods with the smoked ham

Misc.
These hams are very popular here in the South...

I like to cut the smoked ham into 1/2" by 1" cubes. Place several of these in vegetables when cooking. This is especially yummy in green beans.

You can also put these cubes in a casserole dish to add an extra flavor. I use them in a varient of the age-old greenbean casserole.

One last thought is to add cubes of 1/2" by 1/2" to a vegetable soup recipe. I like to use about 1 cup to 4 quarts of soup.

enjoy!!
