Gladys, your day sounds wonderful -
Misc.Especially, since you didn't have to do all the cooking, as usual! That must have been a real treat.
Yesterday, DH and I were talking about our 27 years together and commenting that sometimes it seems like a million years ago when we were married that Christmas Day, but then when you think about how fast that 27 years has flown by, wow!
Here's kind of a morbid question for all of you - do you ever at our age (I'm mid-60s now)think about the fact that we probably only have 15-20 years left in our lives, and then remembering how fast the previous 15-20 years have flown by - time seems to be marching on way too fast. My mind feels 25 (except when I can't remember what I walked into a room for!) but my body sure knows it's 65, sometimes it feels like 85!! I do think of how close to the end of my lifetime I'm getting, and it makes me really sad, because I'm not done with it yet, still got so much left I want to do.
I guess you just have to go one day at a time and enjoy each day for what it brings instead of dwelling on shortening lifespans.
Love to you all and enjoy each day!
June
