Looking for Miss Sally & Eyeglasses....
Misc.Hi Sally,
When I say your name, I think of the song, "Mustang Sally" and also the little cute girl in Fun with Dick and Jane. Remember those primer books from the early 60's that we all learned to read from? Since I am an Educator, I have collected the Dick and Jane books since I started teaching many years ago. I guess when it's time I will pass them on to my grandchildren to enjoy.
Oh what a day yesterday was...I just thought you could waltz into the Post Office and do your thing relative to the passport...Wrong!!! I called 3 Post Offices in my area and yes, they were taking appointments - for Februrary!!!! I finally called the one in Plant City and the girl that answered was a doll. She gave us an appointment for this Friday at 2PM, and they take the pics there also. It will be well within the time frame...
Meanwhile, today I had to go to the Nissan dealership to finally get my CD player replaced. Apparanttly, trach #6 on any CD being played would get stuck there. Thank goodness the Murano is still under warranty.
Then after that ordeal this morning (it only took an hour sitting at the dealership) I swung over to the upholsterer who will be doing this chair my DH loves to read in. I brought home about 8 of those fabric books to look over with him in the reading room and see what goes well with the room. I also went to the library and got some decorating books that have beautiful pictures of chairs so he could see...get ideas.
You know, while I was at the dealership watching Martha, I was perusing thru the February 2006 issue of Better Homes and Gardens and they have some really great ideas on making cards for Valentines and I saw several great recipes for dinner and cookies. I was totally inspired! I got the magazine in Publix and will be posting some things on "What's for Dinner" later on. The magazine has 20 pages of cookies, chocolates, cards & decorations that say "I Love You". How good is that?
I am totally excited about this trip...I am sooooo glad you told me that people you know really loved it over there. teeheeheee...I hope I get to see some of those beautiful frogs, I love frogs!!!! I saw a DVD on COasta Rica last night...a Jeff Corwin one. He is a very funny fellow!! Well suited to the job, and boy, can he catch animals or what?
Sally, thanks for the info you shared! I sure do appreciate it!!
Hugs, Gina
