re: Dormeyer Electric Mixer Chocolate Cake (1949)
Misc.Hello mcmom,
Unfortunately a couple of the Dormeyer recipe booklets in my collection have decided to go missing at the moment. The one I do have my hands on is:
Electric-Mix Treasures prepared especially for you Dormeyer Power-Chef, Dormeyer Corporation, 1949
There isn't a recipe with "single bowl" or "one bowl" in the title, but here are the chocolate cake recipes that are in the booklet:
Brownie Nut Cake (8-inch square, using unsweetened cocoa powder)
Cocoa Divinity Cake (2-layer, using buttermilk and unsweetened cocoa powder)
Fudge Nut Cake (13x9-inch, using milk and melted unsweetened chocolate)
Gloria Chocolate Layer Cake (2-layer, using melted unsweetened chocolate)
Marie's Red Devils Food Cake (2-layer, using buttermilk or sour cream and melted unsweetened chocolate)
Prize Fudge Cake (2-layer or oblong, using beaten egg whites and melted unsweetened chocolate)
I'll keep looking for the other booklets or maybe one of our visitors will have the recipe. If you'd like any of the above recipes please let me know and I'll be happy to post them here for you.
Happy Baking!
Betsy
