re: growing pineapples
Misc.Pinesapples dont have separate male and female plants, but you do need two separate plants to make seeds. The pineapples grow regardless of whether the flowers are fertilized, there's a term for this type of plant but I forget it. Also the plants will form large clumps that grow year after year, so dont kill the plant after one pineapple. And nothing special is needed as far as fertilizer or care.
