re: Hummingbird Cake Name

Hi Seppo,

There was discussion here back in '97 about the meaning behind the hummingbird cake name and a person said that it was because the cake was so good that everyone that ate it would say 'hummmmm' when they tasted it. I don't know if that's so, but it sounds good!

A little history from The American Century Cookbook by Jean Anderson:

Hummingbird Cake was a reader recipe submitted to Southern Living by Mrs. L.H. Wiggins of Greensboro, North Carolina, and was first printed in its February 1978 issue.
