re: King's Hawaiian Sweet Bread

I have it on good authority that the original recipe used by King's Bakery did not include potato. As the story goes, my wife's grandmother was approached in Hilo by a local baker and asked for her Sweet Bread recipe. She gladly gave it to him and the rest is history.
