re: Pasta sauce not sticking

I asked my friends mom whose parents came from italy. First, she agrees with Donovan, use lots of water and don't rinse after draining.

And she also says make your sauce as thick as you can.

And I've tried this little trick with linguine... When you drain it and don't rinse it, crack an egg into a small dish and beat with a fork till it is just mixed. Then pour the raw egg over the hot linguine (yes - raw!) Have the egg ready as soon as you drain the pasta. Pout the egg over it in the colonder and toss. The heat will cook the egg.
