Misc.The Red Chilli Pork Tamales recipe does sound wonderful. I am working on it now! Nine years after the original post!! LOL Just happened to notice that the ingredients for the batter call for 1 cup hot water and 2 tablespoons hot water but these ingredients are not mentioned in the instructions for creating the batter! HMMM.... Instructions DO mention 1 cup COLD water for testing but never mention the hot water again.
Last time I attempted Tamales HUBBY was NOT impressed.... everyone else - company included ate and ate though!!
I guess I'll follow instructions and if dough isn't spreadable... start mixing in hot water bit by bit.
Can't believe no one has "whined" about this discrepancy in nine years!!!
