Hello Trinka,

The recipe I have doesn't give the amounts for those ingredients, thank you for catching that. You can leave out the vinegar if you'd like or add a tablespoon. If you want to try adding more, but go lightly with it because the flavors will be enhanced over the long cooking time. As for the black pepper, you can add that to taste. Start with a small amount for making the recipe and if you need more when it's done, add it then. You'll find that most recipes of this kind (crock pot/stew type recipes) are very adapatable and you usually can substitute or remove some of the flavorings as desired and still have good results.

Your directions say to "Combine the squash, . . . "vinegar", pepper, . . .
But in the list of ingredients the amount of vinegar and pepper is missing.
Help! I want to make this tomorrow and bought all the ingredients today!
