Regarding the Rum Cake using Splenda....

Hi Dee,

Regarding that Rum Cake using Splenda...you can't use the Splenda with the boxed cake because the boxed cake already has the sugar added to it.

You need a "from scratch Rum Cake" recipe in order to be able to use the Splenda.

Also, remember Splenda for Baking Sugar uses 1/2 the amount of regular sugar. For example, if the cake recipe calls for 2 cups of sugar, you only use 1 cup of Splenda for Baking. The regular Splenda package is different though, it uses cup for cup.
