Misc.
Dear Judy,

Thank you for your kind words. It has been truly difficult, and I am sorry to hear of your loss too.

We were able to get him home from a short hospital stay on Tuesday of last week. He did seem to be aware that he was home. He slipped into a coma and died Saturday morning. This was expected but is still a shock and a loss.

It must be getting cold in Quebec now. It was in the 50s here in Central California when we woke up this morning. We thought it was cold. It's now 64 and we might get up as high as 70 today. I'm sure you're having a chuckle over that. You're probably thinking, "Sissy Californians. They don't know from cold!" Have you had snow yet? I remember the cold winters when I was growing up in Michigan. But because of that, the spring thaw was all the more exciting. We do get very cold days here in the winter, but it hasn't snowed in about 20 years, and then only once. We get frost and it gets down into the mid-20s sometimes. Our plants and trees go into shock because they're not accustomed to it.

Again, thank you for your thoughts. I appreciate it.

Yours,

Marilyn
