You made me laugh, Med/TN

Misc.
The outer shells do do a job on your hands and nails for sure. I think the job of getting the outer shells off was left to my dad and brother since they do stain your hands and nails badly. Driving over them in a car sounds like an excellent idea:-)! As I recall, you spread them out and let them dry for some time before trying to get the outer shells off but I have no idea how long??!? I hope that you like the hickory nuts when you try them. (You will need a hammer and a nut pick since their shells are so hard and the nuts are so small that it is a bit hard to get the meat out.) I haven't had any for years!
I meant to ask you where in New England you were planning on visiting, Med? On the news (weather) tonight, they just showed snow in Otis, MA, which is in the Berkshires, today:-( Fortunately, it didn't stick to the ground. We are supposed to have a freeze tonight - about 2 weeks earlier than usual so I need to get my herbs in from our deck in hopes of having them awhile longer.:-( Be sure to bring warm clothes but, also some for warmer weather. On a beautiful fall day, it can get in the low 80's during the day but be very chilly at night if we have clear skies.
