Aw..nuts

Misc.
Where do you want the hickory nuts and black walnuts shipped? My husband has raked up buckets full. Black walnuts from the neighbors giant tree are falling in our pool and the squirrels are running around like crazy hiding them. What the squirrels don't get, we will give away to the first person willing to hall them off.

I have to say that I have never eaten a hickory nut, but plan to do that after your endorcement. Black walnuts are indeed an acquired taste. My mother's favorite ice cream is black walnut, and she puts them in fudge.

I seem to remember people used to put walnuts in a burlap bag and running over them with their car to release the outer shell. Too much work for me. And oh, what a job they do on your nails and hands!
