Recipe: Sky-High Popovers (Panasonic blender cookbook, 1970's)

SKY-HIGH POPOVERS

6 eggs
2 cups milk
1/3 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
2 cups sifted all purpose flour

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease 12 custard cups (5 ounces each) and line up in a shallow baking pan (or grease popover pan cups).

Put all ingredients into blender container. Cover and blend until very smooth.

Pour batter into prepared cups, filling to within 3/4-inch of top.

Bake at 375 degrees F for 60 minutes. Remove pan from oven and use a small pointed knife to make a slit in the side of each popover. Return to oven for 10 minutes. Serve hot.

Makes 12 popovers
