Recipe: American French Dressing with Variations (using tomato soup, Panasonic blender cookbook, 1970's)

Salads - Salad Dressings
AMERICAN FRENCH DRESSING

1 (10 1/2 oz) can condensed cream of tomato soup
1/2 soup can vinegar
1/2 soup can oil
1 slice onion
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Put all ingredients in blender. Cover and blend to mix.

Store dressing in refrigerator.

VARIATIONS:

CHIFFONADE:
Add 1 hard-cooked egg, 1/8 of a green bell pepper and 1 small pimiento before blending.

GARLIC DRESSING:
Add 1 clove garlic before blending.

HERB DRESSING:
Add 1 teaspoon (or to taste) dry herbs (marjoram, sage or thyme) before blending.

OLIVE DRESSING:
Add 6 pitted ripe olives before blending.

Makes about 3 cups
