Recipe: Apple Angel Pie (Comstock pie filling recipe)

APPLE ANGEL PIE

1 (21 ounce) can Comstock Apple Pie Filling
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 egg yolks, beaten
2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
1 unbaked (8 inch) graham cracker crust
Whipped cream or ice cream (for serving)

In a bowl. combine pie filling, pecans, spices and egg yolks. Fold in egg whites, Spread evenly in crumb shell.

Bake in 350 degrees F oven for 45 minutes. Cool.

Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.

Makes 6 servings
