Recipe: Cranapple Crisp (using cranberry sauce, Comstock pie filling recipe)

CRANAPPLE CRISP

1 (21 ounce) can Comstock Apple Pie Filling
1 (16 oz.) can whole berry cranberry sauce
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup quick oats, uncooked
1/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

In a bowl mix apple pie filling and cranberry sauce. Spoon filling into a 1 1/2 quart shallow casserole; set aside.

In a small bowl mix flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Spread over filling.

Bake in a 400 degree F oven for 25 minutes or until topping is golden brown. Cool on rack.

Makes 6-8 servings
