APPLESAUCE BISCUITS
2 cups all-purpose baking mix
2/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
Combine baking mix and applesauce. Place on lightly floured surface and knead 10 times. Pat or roll to 1/2-inch thickness. Using a 2 1/4-inch biscuit cutter, cut dough and place biscuits on baking sheet coated with cooking spray.
Bake at 425 degrees F about 10 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot.
Variation:
Add 1/2 cup shredded fat-free or reduced-fat Cheddar cheese to baking mix.
Makes 8-10 biscuits
