Recipe: Baby Ruth Cookies

BABY RUTH COOKIES

1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened (margarine should have at least 70% fat content)
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 1/3 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 (1.8 oz. each) Baby Ruth candy bars, cut into small pieces

Cream butter or margarine and sugar together until smooth. Add egg and mix well.

Combine flour, baking soda and salt; stir into batter. Add vanilla. Stir in chopped candy bars. Chill dough 30 minutes.

WHEN READY TO BAKE:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease cookie sheets.

Drop chilled dough by teaspoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheets.

Bake at 375 degrees F for 10-12 minutes.
