BAKED COUNTRY STYLE BBQ RIBS
NOTE: These ribs must be grilled before baking.
3+ lbs Country Style Pork Ribs or Boneless Country Strips
2 cups BBQ Sauce
1 (12 oz) can beer or cola (divided use)
Over HOT COALS on an outside grill, sear the meat until browned (NOT COOKED DONE! JUST SEARED AND BROWNED!)
Meanwhile preheat oven to 350F.
When the meat is browned, place it on a rack in a roasting pan. Pour 1/2 can of beer or cola, then all of the BBQ sauce over ribs.
Cover, bake at 350F for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until the meat is done and tender, basting occasionally.
Bake uncovered for the last 1/2 hour.
SERVE: Right from the pan, spoon juices and sauce over meat.
SUGGESTION: Use a aluminum throw away pan, to eliminate the clean-up of baked on BBQ Sauce.
*NOTE: Try this with with thick cut pork chops or pork steak even boneless pork tenderloin. My ther half won t tell me how it is -- just sez Mmmm!
