Recipe(tried): Baked Stuffed Cabbage Rolls
Menus I have a potluck dinner I'm going to Friday night and was asked that I make my cabbage rolls.
Cabbage Rolls
1 lg head cabbage
Cook whole cabbage 3 min. in boiling water. Remove 12 large leaves(use as many as you need for 9x13), parboil agian if necessary to make pliable.
1 lb ground beef, uncooked(use 1 & 1/2 lbs.for 9x13)*
1/2 C. raw white rice (use 1 cup for 9x13)*
1 sm. onion, grated
2 Eggs, beaten
1 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
1/8 t. oregeno
1/8 t. Basil
1 t. minced garlic
1/4 C. parmesean cheese
1/4 C. water
Mix all together. And put about 2 heaping tablespoons on the leaves. fold like you would an eggroll or burrito and place seam side down in pan.
1 lg onion, thinly sliced(optional)
Sauce:
16 oz tomato sauce (use the large to make a 9x13)*
1 can undiluted tomatoe soup
1/8 t. fresh pepper
In a Dutch oven place some sliced cabbage leaves. Arrange stuffed rolls seam side down. Top with onion slices. Pour sauce over, Cover and bake 1 1/2 hr at 350.
