Recipe: Baked Tuna Ring (Quaker Oats, 1959)

BAKED TUNA RING

2 cans (6-oz. each) tuna fish, drained and flaked
1 cup Quaker or Mother's Oats (quick or old Fashioned, uncooked)
1/2 cup cooked peas
2 tablespoons chopped onion
2 tablespoons chopped green bell pepper
2 tablespoons chopped pimiento
1/4 cup slivered almonds
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/4 cups milk
FOR SERVING:
hot buttered baby lima beans

Heat oven to moderate (350 degrees F).

Combine all ingredients except lima beans; place in greased aluminum foil-lined 8-inch ring mold (5 cup capacity).

Bake in preheated oven (350 degrees F) 50 minutes to 1 hour, or until set.

TO SERVE:
Invert on platter; fill center with buttered baby lima beans.

Makes 6 servings
