Recipe(tried): Baking pizza on a Pizza Stone
Pizza/Focaccia Bernie:
I also use a pizza stone, but have never preheated it. I suppose it would help but I never have time. I just make a nice pizza and put it on the stone, bake at normal baking time and enjoy. The most important thing about the stone, as someone else said is never, never wash in soap. Only water. The darker it becomes the better it will work. My daughter loves to bake cookies on hers.
