Recipe: Banana Ice Cream Topping

Not sure if this is the recipe you are looking for. This one does not call for rum, but I don't know why you couldn't adjust it at the END of the recipe and cooking time. Worth a try.

Banana Ice Cream Topping

1/4 cup unsalted butter
4 small bananas, cut into 1/2 inch slices
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
2 Tbsp. banana liqueur
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Melt butter in skillet. Fry banana pieces until they start to get slightly soft (about 2 minutes). Add sugar and spices and cook another 2 minutes or until sugar is melted and starting to carmelize. Add liqueur and vanilla. Serve warm over ice cream.
