Recipe(tried): Barbara Karkula's Beef Dip - Laura, this is from my good friend, Barbara Karkula...

Appetizers and Snacks
I have friends and relatives recipes on my kitchen counter tiles. Baked into the ceramic for easy reference. Here's Barbara's. Hope it's what you're looking for...calls for onions but doesn't say if they are green or not, I use either.

Barbara Karkula's Beef Dip

5 oz. Armour Sliced Dried Beef (used to come in a glass jar, but I have used the packaged type)
2 8oz packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
4 teaspoons minced onions
1/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 cup chopped pecans, toasted

Rinse beef with boiling water and chop. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine all but pecans and spoon into a greased baking dish. Top mixture with toasted pecans. Bake 20 minutes. Do not overbake or dip will dry out.
