This recipe is included in the recipe booklet that came with my ice cream maker. I have not tried it, though.
BASIC VANILLA FROZEN YOGURT
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1/4 cup sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 envelope unflavored gelatin softened in 1/8 cup water
10 oz. plain yogurt
1 tsp. vanilla
Scald evaporated milk over low heat stirring occasionally to avoid skin formation over the top of the milk.
Add sugar, salt and softened gelatin. Stir until thoroughly dissolved and mixture is completely smooth. Cool.
Add yogurt and vanilla to cooled milk mixture. Mix well. Chill thoroughly in refrigerator for 2 hours or longer.
Pour into ice cream maker can and freeze.
Makes approx. 1 quart
