Recipe: Beef and Radish Soup (Faktu)

BEEF AND RADISH SOUP (FAKTU)

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound sirloin tip roast, trimmed, cubed
1 teaspoon ginger, finely chopped
3 cups water
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 cups small pasta shells
2 cups daikon, sliced
1 teaspoon cornstarch dissolved in 1 tablespoon water

Heat oil in saucepan, and fry beef and ginger for 3 minutes.

Add water, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Add pasta, and daikon. Simmer for 15 minutes.

Add cornstarch mixture and simmer for 3 minutes. Serve.
