Recipe(tried): Beef Skillet Dinner (using ground beef, cabbage, macaroni, tomatoes and cheese)

BEEF SKILLET DINNER

2 tablespoons shortening
1 lb ground beef
1 (28 oz) can, tomatoes, cut up
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 cups chopped cabbage
2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley
1 cup macaroni, uncooked
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese

Heat shortening in a large skillet, then add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain fat from skillet.

Blend tomatoes, salt, and Worcestershire sauce, with ground beef in skillet. Bring to a boil. Add cabbage, macaroni and parsley. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.

Sprinkle with cheese and serve hot.

Makes 5 servings
