Best Fruit Salad
rec.food.cooking/Dyan Campbell (1995)
Below is what I believe to be the best fruit salad - take it from a fussy eater - and I'm fussy about textures as much as flavor.
2 cups watermelon balls
2 cups honeydew melon balls
2 cups cantaloupe melon balls
1 cup pineapple, peeled, cored and cubed
1 cup peach, skinned, pitted and cubed (use only the ripest, most succulent)
1 cup strawberries, halved (use only the finest - put the sour ones in pie or jam)
1 banana, sliced (add this at the last moment, just prior to serving
Pour on the Pina Colada dressing at the last moment.
Ultimate Fruit Salad Dressing (Pina Colada Dressing)
1/2 cup coconut cream
1 cup pineapple juice
2 Tbsp. clear honey (optional)
Zap in blender for a moment - pour over fruit salad.
