10 large eggs, mixed slightly
1 PT milk or 1/2 &1/2
1 c. sugar
1/2 T vanilla extract
1/2 T ground cinnamon
1/8 t ground nutmeg
1/8 t ground allspice
1 1/2 c raisins
1 qt leftover cinnamon or sweet rolls, finely diced*
1 qt french bread finely diced
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla and seasonings, Blend well with bread products. Pour into a well-greased 9 by 9 inch cake pan and bake 45 to 60 min. Top each 3 by 3 inch serving with Brandy Sauce.
*If only bread is used instead of leftover cinnamon or sweet rolls, add more sugar.
Brandy Sauce
2 eggs
1 c confectioners' sugar
1c whipping cream
1/4 c brandy (or to taste)
To make Brandy Sauce: Beat eggs until they are light in color. Add eggs slowly to the sugar and set aside. Whip the cream; add brandy to the whiipped cream, then fold in the ess and the sugar mixture. Mix well. Refrig.
