Recipe: Caipirinha

Beverages
CAIPIRINHA

This is a summer drink to appreciate before eating. Great with Brazilian barbecues.

1 lime quartered
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 shot of cachaca
1/2 cup of ice cubes with water

Place the lime and sugar in the bottom of a glass. Using the handle of a wooden spoon, crush and mash the limes.

Pour in the liqueur and ice. Stir well. Decorate the glass with a slice of lime.

Serving size: 1 glass

VARIATIONS:

CAIPIRINHA USING LEMON-LIME SOFT DRINK

1 cup of lemon-lime soft drink with ice
1 shot of cachaca

Mix together.

CAIPIRINHA USING WINE

2 lemons
4 tablespoon sugar
1/4 cup white wine dry
1/2 cup crushed ice

Use the same procedure to prepare caipirinha but add white wine instead of cachaca.
