Wow. now I am craving pie :)
CARAMEL APPLE PIE
1 pkg refrigerated pie crust for 2-crust pie
5 to 6 cups peeled, sliced apples
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. corn starch
1 tsp. butter
2 caramel apple wraps, divided use (usually available in grocery produce section)
sugar and cinnamon mixture (for sprinkling on top)
Preheat Oven to 400 degrees F.
Unfold pie crust place in pan.
Mix together apples, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, corn starch, and butter. Place in crust in pan.
Spread 1 caramel apple wrap over the top of the ingredients, reserve the other wrap.
Place other crust on top, pinch edges to seal together.
Sprinkle top crust with sugar and cinnamon. Cut slit in top crust.
Bake 45 minutes. Place the second caramel apple wrap on top of the pie during the last 10 minutes of baking.
Remove from the oven when pie is golden brown and caramel is melted on top.
