CHERRY NOODLE KUGEL
1 package medium-size egg noodles
1 (3 oz) package cream cheese, softened
2 eggs, well beaten
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 pint sour cream
1/2 cup cottage cheese
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 (12 oz) can cherry pie filling
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Cook noodles according to directions on package and then drain.
In a large bowl cream the cream cheese and eggs, sugar and salt.
Stir in sour cream and cottage cheese. Add the noodles and butter, blending well. Place in a greased 2-quart baking dish.
Bake 35 to 45 minutes or until brown and crisp.
Top with cherry pie filling*.
*Judi's note: I like to warm the pie filling in the microwave just until warm. Do not make it real hot. - Judi Mae Phelps
