Recipe(tried): Chicago-Style Beef Sandwiches
SandwichesADVERTISEMENT
Let me start off by saying: This comes from Chicago, from My mom. So, there are no amounts......it's done by taste. I will tell you that when my daughter had a big birthday party for her son's first birthday she made this and it was wonderful. So, with this in mind I believe we can all handle it .....
Preheat oven to 350
Put a Brisket of beef in a roaster. (A good size brisket will work well, then you can have some to freeze)
Sprinkle with 1 package onion soup mix, lots of garlic powder and pepper.
Wrap foil around the meat, tucking into the pan, and place inoven.
Check periodically for liquid. If it appears to be getting dry, add beef bouillon.
It's done when it's very fork tender.
Slice VERY thin and serve on crusty rolls dipping the top of the bread in the juices.
Let me know if you have any questions.
