Chicken Cacciatore

Serving Size : 4
1 pound boneless chicken -- cut into strips
1 medium onion -- sliced
1 medium green pepper -- cut in strips
1 tablespoon oil
1 can stewed red ripe tomatoes -- 8 ounce
1 can tomato sauce -- 8 ounce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Rice
Cook and stir chicken, onion, and green pepper in hot oil in large skillet until lightly brown. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, garlic powder oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Meanwhile prepare rice as directed on package.
