Recipe(tried): China Garden's Ning Mung Ja Gai Yuk (Lemon Chicken) *BEST* my personal favorite

Main Dishes - Chicken, Poultry
CHINA GARDEN'S NING MUNG JA GAI YUK
(LEMON CHICKEN)

*BEST* my personal favorite

1 bag of uncooked chicken strips (I prefer spicy)chopped up into thirds and deep fried, or precooked chicken nuggets, or follow a recipe for the battered chicken from an Asian sweet and sour chicken recipe, or use plain grilled chicken, or use plain or battered pork nuggets.

Cooked rice

LEMON SAUCE:
3/4 cup sugar
2/3 cup water
grated rind from one lemon
juice from same lemon (try to get it all!)
2 tbsp corn starch
1/8 tsp. turmeric
1/4 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
pinch of salt
pinch of white pepper

Place all Lemon Sauce ingredients in a cold medium-sized pot. Place pot on medium high heat stirring frequently. Cook until thick and bubbly.

Toss Lemon Sauce with heated chicken chunks

Serve over rice or fried noodles.
