Chocolate Chip Cookies Mrs. Fields Style
rec.food.recipes/amacrea/2000
Yield: about 6 dozen cookies

We believe this to be a very close match to the store bought. Kids love them, too.

1 lb softened butter
2 1/2 cups sugar
2 cups packed brown sugar
3 teaspoons vanilla
3 eggs
6 cups flour (all purpose)
1 1/2 teaspoons soda
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 cups chopped walnuts
4 to 6 cups chocolate chips

In Kitchenaid, beat softened butter with sugar and brown sugar. Beat in vanilla and eggs.

Mix dry ingredients. Add to the mixer bowl 1/3 at a time, beating in. Want the dough to appear dry, 2 to 3 minutes.

Add nuts and chocolate chips, just mix in, a few seconds.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Scoop dough with ice cream scoop onto parchment paper covered cookie sheets. Do not flatten.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until lightly browned. Cool on wire racks.
