Desserts - Pies and Tarts
This family favorite comes from Better Homes and Gardens "Chocolate" Cookbook. It has been on the menu for every occasion for many years! Enjoy! Judy

CHOCOLATE PECAN PIE

3 Eggs
1 cup white or light Corn Syrup
2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup Melted Butter
1 cup Chopped Pecans
1/2 cup Milk-Chocolate Chips
Unbaked Deep Dish Pie Shell

In a medium size mixing bowl, beat the eggs with a FORK. Stir in corn syrup, sugar and melted butter and mix well.
Stir in the chopped pecans and milk-chocolate chips.

Place pie shell on a rimmed cookie sheet and pour in the filling, making sure to evenly distribute the chips and pecans.

Very carefully put cookie sheet in a preheated 350F oven. Cover edge of pie with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake about 25 minutes more or until a knife inserted near center comes out clean. Let pie cool thoroughly on a wire rack before serving. Cover and chill to store.
