1 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened, divided use
2 cups brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
4 teaspoons vanilla, divided use
FOR THE CHOCOLATE MIXTURE:
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)

Stir together oats, flour, baking soda and 1 tsp salt in medium bowl; set aside.
