Recipe: Chocolate Syrup Mix

Add 2 Tablespoons Chocolate Syrup Mix to a glass of cold milk for a refreshing
chocolate drink...this statement is from the book!

Chocolate Syrup Mix
1 and 1/3 cups cocoa powder
2 and 1/4 cups granulated sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 and 1/3 cups boiling water
1 and 1/2 tsps. vanilla

In a heavy saucepan, combine cocoa powder, sugar and salt. Gradually stir in
boiling water. Stir frequesnty over medium heat until smooth and slightly
thickened, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in vanila. Pour mixture
into a 3 cup container with a tight fitting lid. Attach lid. Label container
with date and contents. Store in refrigerator. Use within 10 to 12 weeks.
Makes about 2 and 2/3 cups mix.

Recipe: Quick Fudge Sauce
1 and 1/2 cups Chocolate syrup mix
6 Tbsps. butter or margarine

In a small saucepan, combine mix and butter or margarine. Cook and stir over
low heat until smooth, thick and shiny, 5 to 10 minutes. Makes about 1 and
1/2 cups.
